Playing with Words
Join us for ANPF’s 2023 Playwriting Workshop, led by our Fall Festival Host Playwright Beth Kander. Participants will get the chance to work with Beth and the Fall Festival winning playwrights, and learn more about what it takes to create a new play.
This workshop will take place from 10am-12pm on October 21st at OSF’s Hay Patton Rehearsal Center (HPRC). Doors will open at 9:40am. Pencil and paper will be provided, but feel free to bring a laptop or your own writing supplies! Our annual playwriting workshop is also back in person! Led by our Host Playwright Beth Kander and this year’s Fall Festival winning playwrights, the writing-intensive workshop features insights, in-class writing time, and a few tips and tricks from the playwrights, helping you take the next steps in your own writing journey!
All writers are welcome, whether you usually write plays, poetry, non-fiction, or fiction; are a seasoned writer or are just starting out. There’s room for everyone at our writers’ table.
ANPF’s 2023 Playwriting Workshop will be held at the Hay-Patton Rehearsal Center (HPRC), located at 200-298 Enders Alley, Ashland, OR 97520. Please use the alley entrance on the downhill-side of the building, under the red ‘O’ sign (image below for reference.) Upon arrival, an ANPF team member will meet you at the alley door to direct you to the workshop room. This workshop will take place in Studio 1B on the first floor and is fully accessible.
Please Note: Masks are encouraged but not required at the HPRC. Please be aware that there are allergy restrictions currently in place at the HPRC to protect all artists who regularly use the facility. We ask that you do not bring bananas or nuts into the Hay-Patton building at this time.
The workshop is free for ANPF members and students or $10 for non-members. If you need access to lower pricing, please email firstname.lastname@example.org for registration assistance.

We do not currently require proof of vaccination, nor do we currently require masks at our events. If the risk level rises, we may change these requirements. Updates will be reflected on the website.
