Review of: Hyannis
So brilliant on so many levels. Not only was the cast perfectly chosen, the director realized the zoom platform in such a way that a virtual stage was tactile. Props passed back and forth, glances aimed at their virtual companion. All exploring this new medium for theatre. The script itself was a jewel case of many different colors. Relationships within relationship all interacting and weaving a complex tapestry. that combined both resolving and disparate tensions. The humanity of individuals artfully mixed with the humanity of the group made Hyannis rewarding, disturbing, thought provoking. Perhaps the highest compliment was the play made m think and kept me thinking. It kept me thinking well into the night. My hope to se this onstage.
