Join these two multitalented theatre creators for an engaging conversation that takes you through stories of creating a 5-hour epic play, discussing the interactive ways playwriting is built in community, wrestling with the words on the page, stabbing at answers for questions of the human heart and the universe, and discovering the connection between The Real Housewives and Chekhov–how they speak to the soul.

E.M. Lewis is an award-winning playwright, teacher and librettist from Oregon whose plays and operas can be seen across the country and have been published by Samuel French. Jackie Apodaca is an actor, director, and writer. She is Associate Artistic Director of Ashland New Plays Festival as well as a Professor of Acting at Southern Oregon University.

 

ANPF is presenting a two-night full production of E.M. Lewis’s critically acclaimed play THE GUN SHOW on June 14 and 15, 2019, at 7:30 pm in Ashland, Oregon.
