Michael Gabriel Goodfriend most recently played Lt. Gerald D. Smith, Ensemble in The Way the Mountain Moved at Oregon Shakespeare Festival. In three previous seasons there, roles included Poins, Mortimer, Douglas, Ensemble in Henry IV, Part One; Poins and Ensemble in Henry IV, Part Two; Sempronius, Ensemble in Timon of Athens; and Lysimachus, Ensemble in Pericles. Other credits include Twelfth Night (Pearl Theatre); Arrivals (Bank Street Theatre); Treasure Island; London Cries; HamletPeter PanicWasted!; Degenerate Art; The Mother (Irondale Ensemble Project); and Shim Ch’ong (Getty Center, National Theatre of Korea).

Other theaters include Guthrie Theatre, Folger Theatre, Actors Theatre of Louisville, Cincinnati Playhouse, St. Louis Repertory, and Yale Repertory Theatre.

Film/TV credits include First; Jackson; The Commission; Monk; The District; and Strong Medicine. Michael won the New Hampshire Theatre Award, Garland Award, and a Helen Hayes nomination. He attended the Yale School of Drama.
